Graham Rahal, ranked seventh in the Verizon IndyCar Series points standings after eight races in 2018, has reached an agreement with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing that will keep the driver and team together for five more years.

As a full-time driver with the team since 2013, Rahal has added six victories, 27 podiums and 48 top five-five finishes to his Indy car resume.

The continuity for the team will allow it to continue building long-term relationships with sponsors, something team co-owner Bobby Rahal deems important.

“As a team owner, I know you’re going to say I’m biased, but I admire and respect Graham’s work ethic on and off the track for our team, for our sponsors, and we’re really pleased that we now go forward for the next five years as a team together because I think the best five years of Graham’s career are ahead of him,” said Rahal.

“Consequently the best five years of RLL’s career, in effect, is going to ride along with him.”

In the last three years, Rahal has finished no worse that sixth in the championship and was the highest-ranked Honda driver in two of the three.

In his 12th year of full-time Indy car racing at just 29 years old, Rahal has ensured he’ll be in the series with the same team through his 17th season.
